Han Dong bestows his sculptures with natural forms. A bronze sculpture resembling a giant piece of jade has its beginnings in hand-carved wood, which is cast to create a negative space in which the human body can come to rest, finding a state of harmony between man, object and nature somewhere between functional furniture and art.
