Bio
Han Dong, a renowned sculptor and furniture designer, hails from China and presently resides in Beijing and Ottawa, where he continues to pursue his artistic journey. He is a proud alumnus of the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, where he specialized in the decoration department.
In the early phase of his career, Han Dong lent his creative vision to several national-level public art projects, encompassing exhibition halls and museums. His designs stood as a testament to his artistic flair and versatility, drawing nationwide acclaim.
In 2004, he further broadened his horizons by accepting the role of Director at the Central Academy of Fine Arts Michael Jewelry Research Center. Here, he enriched young minds with his knowledge and skills in crafting unique jewelry designs.
In 2006, Han Dong took a leap of faith by establishing his own studio nestled in the heart of Beijing's 798 Art District. This personal workspace became the incubator for his distinctive art pieces, focusing on art jewelry and sculpture creation. He also regularly hosts courses for aspiring artists, sharing his expertise in crafting extraordinary pieces of art.
Post-2015, Han Dong's artistic journey took a pivotal turn as he started concentrating on the creation of sculptures and art furniture. This transition marked a new chapter in his creative expression, amplifying his design prowess to new heights.
Throughout his artistic voyage since establishing his studio, Han Dong has held multiple solo exhibitions that have been a resounding success. His works of art have found their place in numerous institutions and personal collections globally, reflecting his far-reaching influence in the world of design.
